To succeed in the Media industry you need to obtain and keep clients from all sides of the spectrum. I pride myself in being able to communicate with clients very professionally. If you look at some of the screenshots at the top of this page you can see a few examples of how I speak to my existing clients. I speak very formally and use perfect spelling and punctuation, this is very important as clients will feel as if they are dealing with someone who knows what they are doing if you speak in a sensible manner. I don't tend to shorten words or slang in emails to clients. I have one client called Tom Heath who I sometimes use slang with as he is only around 20-25 years old and uses slang when talking to me. It is sometimes useful to use slang and shorten words as it makes the client felt more friendly towards you instead of you just being a robot with perfect spelling and punctuation. When speaking to new clients or universities I speak very professionally as I want to make a good impression of myself.
